The Gingham Affair

3The “ber” months has always been associated with Christmas, for the bloggers, we call it the “event” season. It’s the time when almost all the brands are having their new campaign, launch or collection. This are all new to me so I’m trying my best to cope with the veterans, events here, events there and everywhere. Here I’ll show you how I paired my outfit starting with my gingham patterned shirt.

So that day I went to the Uniqlo event for their fleece wear collection that will be posted soon. I opted to wear a monochromatic black and infused it with a lavender coloured pattern, specifically gingham. Okay to make it clear this pattern is called gingham, not plaid, not checkered, not tartan, its gingham. Gingham is is a medium-weight balanced plain-woven fabric made from dyed cotton or cotton-blend yarn. where the coloring is on the warp yarns and always along the grain. 1

Usually when I choose my outfit I always starts with the inner wear. Like for this one the shirt goes first and then i choose what type of blazer or any outer wear to pair it with. In that way you’ll know how to make a particular outfit stand out.

I mixed the gingham shirt with a striped tie. 4

And there goes my striped socks, like to play with my outfit. It’s fun. 5 7

Tote bag has always been a favourite. This one is from ALDO. 8

Who says yo can’t pair black with brown? and it doesn’t always follow to pair the color of your belt with the color of your shoes. 9 11
