SB Brown Checks • Tiño Suits

And all of sudden it’s the “ber” months again. So how is everybody doing? I hope you’re having a great time on the first weekend of September. It has been awhile again since my last blog post but hey, I finally got a day job here in Norway and believe it or not it is my first ever experience to work as a regular employee and boy i’m having a fantastic time. It’s actually a dream come true for me to get the job that I am very interested to and that’s working in a menswear store. You know when you move abroad it’s always a challenge to get the job that you want on the first try but I guess I got lucky there.

Ok so enough of the sharing moments and let’s shift our direction to this beautiful brown SB’s (single breasted) suit from Tiño Suits. This is the second time that I partnered with the brand and this time I decided to have another bespoke suit but in a more classier fit as I’ve been moving away from the long running trend of slim fit. So for this post I want to show you two ways on how to style this beautifully tailored brown SB suit.

Let us first go to the details of the suit: Brown checks, generous lapels, High waisted trousers, front crease, double pleats, side adjusters, more straighter silhouettes and suspender buttons. These are some of the characteristics of a vintage suit, incase you are heading to that direction like me.

For the first look I opted for a casual yet classic look. SB matched with a casual pique shirt, beige buck shoes and fedora hat. A Summer casual look that will make you look like a big time player on a horse race event.

Look nr. 2 The business look. Threw in some striped ties, button-on suspenders and dark derby shoes and voila, you suddenly look like you’re about to close a million dollar deal. Same suit but different approach on the styling.

So there you go, a showcase of a non contemporary silhouette of a bespoke suit. Most of you would not be keen about this type of fit but the point here is no matter what your preference is, the only way to look best in a suit is to go for a tailored one, never ever ever ever settle for an off-the-rack suit, you are just wasting your money and the opportunity to be the best looking man in a suit.
